Shrinkage joints are one of the most vulnerable elements of concrete bridges as they are located on the deck surface and are subject to continuous dynamic loads from the passage of vehicles. In addition, they are exposed to adverse environmental conditions (deck rain, corrosive chemicals such as salt and petroleum products). They need to be inspected frequently and repaired in a timely manner before being exposed to loads that could cause serious damage to lane sections and endanger driver safety.

BITUWORKS proposes the replacement of the damaged elasto-metal bridge joints with injected asphalt mastic joints.
Injected asphalt joints provide an effective and durable solution in the maintenance of bridges. They do not require regular maintenance and also have the advantage of delivering traffic after the end of the work on the same day, within a few hours.
